moderator: Courtney wishes to decorate Myleigh's room in a Dora theme. Let us all come up with interesting ideas and finds that can help her create that wonderful room for her little girl.

Hi Courtney,

You have not mentioned Myleigh's age or what kind of ideas you are looking for - shopping tips or do-it-yourself ideas etc.

These are some suggestions that come off the top of my head, Courtney.

You could paint the room a very light pink. Try out some of the wall paint ideas we have outlined in our book, Walls with Character.

For the walls, I suggest this 3 pc Wall art set from Target with flower and butterfly stencils all around the room. [My suggestion is to focus on flowers and butterflies as they can be part of the room decor for a longer time. Keep Dora as wall art so it easy to change when Myleigh outgrows the theme].

For the furniture: This beautiful Dora toddler bed with canopy will highlight the theme. Again buy bedding and extra sheets in a longer lasting floral design. [Alternately choose this toddler sleigh bed and add a Dora Bedding Collection to complete the look.

Add one more piece of Dora furniture, perhaps a Dora Toy Organizer or Chair Desk...and no more.

Finish the look with a full size Dora cuddle pillow that she is sure to fall in love with.

Land of Nod also has some sweet flowers/butterflies growth charts, if you want to add one.
