Your child’s room should be more than beautiful.

It should feel like their little world. A place where they can rest, play, create, dream, and simply be themselves. And yet, each child is different. They have personalities that are very uniquely theirs. Simply offering you design ideas to blindly implement in their room DOES NOT FULFILL the role that their room plays in their physical, mental and emotional development.

This is not another done-for-you design your kids room challenge. In just 3 days, I’ll help you look at your child’s room through a different lens and discover simple ways to make their space more personal, purposeful, and uniquely them.

No major makeover. No shopping spree. No design experience required.

Are you excited? I certainly am. This is going to be so much fun.

What if their room could tell their unique story?

You can spend hours scrolling Pinterest looking for the perfect kids’ room (you have a board overflowing with ideas and inspiration, don't you?). And now you are so overwhelmed that it is causing more paralysis than moving you forward.

Here's the underlying problem with Pinterest pictures:

A beautiful room isn't necessarily the right room for your child. Your child has their own personality, interests, rhythms, comforts, quirks, and ways of experiencing the world.

So instead of asking: “What would look good in this room?”

We're going to start asking: “What would make this room feel like my child?”

That's where INTENTIONAL DESIGN begins. And this is where this Kids Room Challenge is vastly different from any other you may have tried in the past.

This does not mean that you should ditch Pinterest altogether. Pinterest is a wonderful way to find out what you are drawn towards, mistakes you should avoid and what does not look as good as you thought.

Use the board that you have been saving all those kids room photos to propel you forward. More than the actual design, think about the feel of these rooms. What is common? Perhaps you have rooms that have soft, pastel colors. Perhaps the rooms have a ton of natural light shimmering in. Perhaps the rooms have large murals on an accent wall.

These are little nuggets of information that you need to note and use this knowledge to design the room.

How is this going to work?

So glad you asked.

Here's a snippet of what we'll do together...

DAY 1 - SEE YOUR CHILD

Before we change the room, we're going to understand the child.

You'll look at the things your child naturally gravitates toward, what makes them feel comfortable and energized, how they play, create, relax, and interact with their space.

You'll walk away with a clearer picture of what your child actually needs from their room.

DAY 2 - DESIGN AROUND THEM

Now we'll turn those observations into design.

You'll learn how to translate your child's personality and needs into color, texture, layout, storage, furniture, and meaningful details.

You'll start seeing their room differently.

Instead of decorating around a trend, you'll learn how to design around your child.

DAY 3 - BRING IT ALL TOGETHER

Now it's time to pull it together.

I'll show you how to make small, intentional changes using what you already have, along with a few thoughtful additions when they're needed.

You'll have a simple starting point for creating a room that feels personal, functional, and beautifully yours.

THIS KIDS ROOM CHALLENGE IS FOR YOU IF...

you look at your child's room and think: “It just doesn't feel like them.”

Or maybe...

  • You designed their room based on a trend that YOU liked.
  • Your child's room looks nice, but something feels missing.
  • You want their personality to show up in their space.
  • You want a room that works for real life, not just photographs beautifully.
  • You're tired of buying things that don't quite work together.
  • You want to create a thoughtful space without completely redoing the room.
  • You'd love a designer's perspective, but want to make the changes yourself.

You don't need a big budget. You don't need a perfect room. You just need to start seeing the space differently.

Why should you listen to me?

Hi, I'm Richa, an interior designer and the founder of LushBerry Interiors. I have been helping parents design their kids rooms since 2009. Over the years, I have learnt the difference between a beautifully designed space and a space that holds you, supports your everyday living, embraces you in a cozy hug.

I believe that the best-designed spaces aren't simply beautiful. They mean something to the people who live in them.

And when it comes to children, their rooms have an even bigger role to play. This is where children sleep, imagine, create, play, learn, explore, retreat, and grow.

That's why I created LushBerry Interiors: to help parents think differently about their children's spaces.

Not just “How do I decorate this room?”

But...

“How can I create a space that helps my child feel at home in themselves?”

That's the philosophy behind this challenge.

And I'd love to have you join me.
